I don’t like articles that state that women are overworked because they strove for equality or “freedom.” Women are overworked because nothing has really changed: now women are expected to work to help pay bills AND  to still be caretakers of the household. If women have to take on more of the brunt of paying the bills, then men need to take more responsibility for household and children, or women are just not really liberated, they just now have a daily “second shift” that will cause them more stress.  Mainstream media always perpetuates this bullshit notion that women are “paying a price” for equality.  Feminist discourse has been co-opted, recuperated, appropriated, but that doesn’t mean women have reached any kind of equality. EQUALITY HASN’T HAPPENED YET.
